JMA appoints Ager Insunza as new Managing Director

This executive change will take effect from 1 January 2026
JMA Alejandro Altuna appoints Ager Insunza as new Managing Director, replacing Xanti Arenaza from 1 January 2026. This changing of the guard in the upper echelons of senior management is happening with the project in a very good place and the JMA brand in a consolidated position as global leader. As a new era begins, the company is intensifying its commitment to a strategy focused on innovation, digital transformation and sustainability.
“Ager has the skills and determination to steer the Altuna Group through the challenges we face at the start of this new era”, said Xanti Arenaza.
Ager Insunza is an industrial engineer and currently Head of Operations at JMA. Before joining the company in 2021, he developed his career in the automotive sector at such companies as MAIER, VOLVO-CARS and IRIZAR. He has extensive management experience in R&D and multi-technology environments.
“We are a group of people who are ready to perform in increasingly more demanding contexts. The future will require the very best from every one of us”, said Ager Insunza.
The change comes after 17 years of JMA leadership from Xanti Arenaza, who will maintain ties to the project by sitting on the Board of Directors and providing continuity for the company’s rebirth strategy.
The Board of Directors thanks Xanti Arenaza for his hard work in the management department and welcomes this new era under the leadership of Ager Insunza.
